- While it is acknowledged that on the day of inspection, during part of the day, a person trained in FAR (First Aid Response) was present in the service, there was no suitably trained FAR (First Aid Response) adult available at all times to the children attending the service on that day
Provider's corrective action:
- FAR training was carried out with three adults in the service. All staff files were reviewed and training was booked. FAR training was completed. Trained staff are on roster at all times opening and closing the service

Blath na hOige Montessori, Blessington · Regulation 25 — First aid
- There was no member of staff available at all times with up to date First Aid Responder (FAR) training. FAR certification had expired for three staff on 09 September 2025
Provider's corrective action:
- Staff have renewed their FAR Training Course and Certificates shall be issued in 3-4 weeks. FAR Certificates shall be in date going forward

- (1) Although one adult held the required certificate in first aid training, the date of expiry recorded on the certificate was 21 March 2026
Provider's corrective action:
- A booking has been made for the refresher course for First Aid Responders (FAR). The next available FAR course is on 18 June 2026. A booking has been made and paid for. Staff files to be reviewed each year to ensure certificates are refreshed before the expiry date. Renewal reminders have been added to the yearly administration checklist

Twinklers Montessori, Arklow · Regulation 25 — First aid
- (1) An adult with a current certificate in First Aid Response was not available to the children attending the pre-school service. The registered provider had a certificate which had expired on 10 November 2025
Provider's corrective action:
- The first aid course was completed on 28 February 2026. The registered provider has set a reminder on the phone and noted the renewal date in the diary and will contact the instructor well in advance to organise re-training

Little Harvard Childcare, Rathnew · Regulation 25 — First aid
- 1. One person in the service had a certificate in First Aid Response. On the day of inspection this person commenced work at 9.30 and finished at 6.30, therefore from opening at 07.00 to 09.30 there was no staff member qualified in FAR. In addition, no member of staff had a current qualification in Paediatric First Aid. 2. On examination of records during the week commencing of November 3-7, no staff member with a current certificate in First Aid was present daily between17.30 and 18.30
Provider's corrective action:
- 1.First Aid Response training was completed by four staff members on 22nd November 2025. 2.A minimum of two First Aid Response trained staff will be on duty at all times. Local Management and our HR Department will monitor the situation and ensure compliance with all aspects of regulation 25

- (1)A person with a current qualification in First Aid Response (FAR)was not available to the children in the service. An Immediate Action Notice was issued to the Registered Provider on 05/11/2023 in relation to this. It is acknowledged that the RP had booked places for three staff members to complete a First Aid Response course commencing on 17 November 2025. A staff member with a current qualification in Paediatric First Aid was available
Provider's corrective action:
- FAR training scheduled and will be attended by two staff members. A letter of acknowledgement and attendance will be emailed. Regular checks on staff files will be carried out to ensure all required training is up to date

- (1)A person with a current qualification in First Aid Response (FAR) was not available to the children in the service. It is acknowledged that the RP had booked a First Aid course commencing on 7 October 2025
Provider's corrective action:
- FAR Course has been booked and will be completed by qualified personnel. I have completed the theory part of the course, and I will complete the practical training and examination in December 2025. Reminder has been placed in the service diary, 3 months prior to FAR expiry date, so that this will not re-occur

- Two adults have now completed FAR training and we will ensure that more than one adult has FAR training

- The registered provider did not have a current certificate in FAR first aid training, an immediate action notice was issued on the 11th of December and the registered provider responded on the 12th of December and this response was accepted
Provider's corrective action:
- FAR training has been booked and paid for. All staff files will have dates of FAR training highlighted and checked at the start of every year
