- (1) No adult employed in the service held up to date First Aid Response (FAR) certification. This posed a risk to the children in the service in the event of a child requiring emergency medical treatment. It is acknowledged that two adults held paediatric first aid
Provider's corrective action:
- The following response was received from the registered provider: Corrective and Preventive Action The proposed new registered provider has been advised of the need for FAR trained staff. Staff folders will be checked quarterly

Martha’s Montessori, Clonmel · Regulation 25 — First aid
- The inspector noted no staff member working in the service on the day of inspection held a current up to date first aid responder (FAR) certificate. In the event of an accident or injury occurring to a child, this posed a safety risk to the children. It is acknowledged that one staff member held an up to date first aid certificate
Provider's corrective action:
- The following statement was received from the registered provider: Corrective and Preventive Action A staff member is currently undertaking a blended learning FAR course. Staff files will be reviewed at the end of each term to ensure compliance

Rossmore Pre-School, Cashel · Regulation 25 — First aid
- (1) An Immediate Action Notice was issued on the 01 September 2025 to the registered provider in response to a breach of Regulation 25 as no staff member on duty held an in date first aid responder certificate (FAR) or first aid. This posed a risk to the children in the event of a medical emergency
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider has completed FAR training and will renew prior to expiry
