  • (d) 1. The outdoor area is now clear of rubbish and debris. Staff were reminded to ensure they complete the outdoor risk checks which will be reviewed by management. 2. The service report that the door was repaired and is now closing effectively. This will be monitored. 3. Management report the walls have been sanded and will ensure monthly inspection will be carried out on walls, skirtings and window sills. 4. Management report the sills have been painted and will ensure monthly inspection will be carried out on walls, skirtings and window sills. 5. The management company of the building were informed of this issue, and evidence was submitted that a pest control company has been engaged. The service report they will fit light fittings with insect proof seals and the pest control company check will now monitor for and prevent pest entry. 6. Management report the ventilation unit was cleaned and will ensure weekly inspection will be carried out. 7. Management report the radiators have been sanded, painted and treated and will ensure monthly inspection will be carried out. (e) Thermostatic Mixing Valve connected to the wash and hand basin in Toddler 2 room was adjusted and recalibrated to restrict the maximum hot water output. The service will ensure the water is checked by staff

  • Following the inspection, a painter attended the service to assess the required work and commence preparatory repairs. The painter is scheduled to return on 20 July 2026 to fill all remaining holes and complete the repainting of the entire setting. This work will ensure that the premises are maintained in a good state of repair, are clean and well maintained, and continue to provide a safe, suitable, and welcoming environment for children. The person in charge will continue to monitor the condition of the premises through daily environmental checks, regular health and safety inspections, and ongoing risk assessments.   • (d) 1. An imme diate review of the outdoor garden was conducted. The damaged panels separating the play areas have been identified for replacement and any loose panels will be securely fixed and damaged areas replaced where necessary. All exposed and splintered wood will be repaired and repainted where needed. The outdoor area will continue to undergo daily risk assessments to identify any further damaged fencing, panels or wooden areas. 2. The wooden picnic table will be removed and replaced with a new one . Materials have been delivered and maintenance have scheduled plans for building a new table. To prevent this from happening again staff have been asked to notify the compliance manager if there are any repairs needed when carrying out risk assessments in the garden. Any repairs noted will be but in the handyman’s book for prompt attention. 3. The damaged fire assembly has been repaired and the gap at the base has been eliminated to eliminate the safety risk. The outdoor area will be inspected to ensure all hazards are removed. To prevent this from happening again any maintenance issues identified will be addressed promptly

A cleaning company was brought in to carry out a deep clean of the whole service. The floors have been professional cleaned. Staff are aware of the need to sweep and clean the floor daily and cleaner will ensure the rooms are mopped each evening to maintain the cleanliness. 3. All windows have been professional cleaned images attached. Window cleaning sprays have been added to each room to ensure these are maintained. 4. Outdoor area has been power hosed and weeds/bushes cut back and removed. 5. Slide has been removed and new play equipment has been added. 6. Picnic table has been disposed of. 7. Armchair has been removed and disposed of. 8. Chalk board has been removed from wall. Management and Registered Provider will ensure checks are carried out on the building to prevent weeds/dirt/damage. Risk assessment checks will be carried out regularly by staff and management and any issues will be reported and rectified immediately going forward

  • 1. All the skirting boards radiator covers and window sills have been freshly painted and the rooms have had a deep clean. The manager will review rooms on a monthly basis. 2. The service engaged a painter who treated this area and painted the entire ceiling. The manager will review rooms monthly and will organise maintenance where required. 3. Toilets seats are replaced. The manager will inspect toilets as part of their daily morning inspection risk assessment. 4. The sink is now secure. The manager will check toilets as part of the daily morning inspection. 5. The play house has been replaced with a heavy-duty plastic playhouse and the manager will inform the owner when items need to be replaced. 6. The lino has been replaced in Montessori room 1 with a wooden floor. Due to finances the Toddler room floor was not replaced but it was given a deep clean. The three toy units were replaced the service intends to replace this floor in October or sooner if finances allow. The owner will take monthly inspections of the rooms and premises. 7. Dolls houses have been replaced. This was discussed at the staff meeting regarding the risk assessment. 8. The cord has been fixed. This was discussed as part of the risk assessment checklist. 9. The lock on the gate has been repaired. Staff have been made aware the staff meeting if they see anything in the back garden that would be a risk to the children’s safety the staff sign an outdoor checklist

The ramp has been covered by an anti-slip tape surface; this will be maintained to ensure it is not a tripping hazard. 4.   • 1. Following the identification of gaps remaining present in the flooring in both the junior and senior Montessori rooms, as well as the visibly worn condition of the existing floor covering, immediate action has been taken to address these issues. The service provider has engaged a specialist safety flooring company to attend the service and carry out a full replacement of the flooring. Confirmation of works has been secured, and a deposit has been paid to initiate the project. Photos with the new flooring in both, junior and Senior Montessori rooms will be emailed to Tusla inspectors in due course. Approved contractors specialising in safety flooring will be engaged for all future works. 2. Both locks have been replaced at the stair gate outside Senior Montessori Room and outside Junior Montessori room. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 3. In the Toddler room the skirting boards and the wood beneath the two windows have been freshly painted. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 4. In the Senior Montessori room, the heater was cleaned of all the dust and dirt, and the maintenance personnel repaired it and it is now in good condition. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 5. In the Junior Montessori Room, all windows have been thoroughly dusted, cobwebs removed and thoroughly cleaned. The windowsills in the junior Montessori room were thoroughly freshly painted. The window in the junior Montessori is now fully closed and lock has been fixed. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 6. In the Junior Montessori Room, the crack on the wall beneath the window has been filled and repaired. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 7. The Junior Montessori Room was fully repainted. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 8. In the Junior Montessori Room, the pillar was repaired and fully repainted. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 9. The Senior Montessori Room was painted thoroughly, including ceiling. The maintenance personnel will carry out monthly inspections to identify any issues on the premises. 10. In the Senior Montessori Room, the vents covers have been replaced, covering the holes in the wall. The windowsills have been repaired and fully repainted.   • 1. The painter has been booked to paint the Toddler room on April 25th 2026. The painter has verbally confirmed. The painter is going to use a different paint that will reduce the possibility of paint chipping. They are also going to create a blackboard section so children can do mark making on this section of the wall. 2. The landlord has made arrangements for the ceiling tiles to be replaced in the Baby and Toddler rooms. Management will have to find suitable maintenance repair personal moving forward, who can be contactable on a regular basis. 3. The manager bought and replaced the toilet seat. 4. A company carried out an initial inspection and maintenance of the pump below the Toddler room sink, which connected to the two other sinks on the 24th of February. They determined the pump was broken and need to be replaced. The pump was order immediately and the work was completed on March 6th. Regular maintenance of the pump below the toddler room sink will be conducted when the grease traps are being maintained

  • 1. Ball pool was emptied, hoovered and cleaned. Ball pool will be emptied and hoovered and wiped out every second day. 2. Prior to the inspection it had been agreed that the Sanitary areas in Butterflies, Appledrops and Rascals are to be replaced this year. We are awaiting on contractor dates. Sanitary areas will be maintained moving forward. 3. The loft playhouse has been repainted. 4. Rascals room and sanitary area was cleaned on the evening of the inspection, and a professional deep clean of the room and sanitary area was done in the following days to include walls, skirtings, window sill, doors and floors. Bins were replaced. New chairs have been ordered. Cleaning checklists to be adhered to. Team retrained on this. Daily checks by management will be completed according to the Manager daily checklist. 5. Sink professionally unclogged. Drains annually maintained

Provider's corrective action:
  • (c) 1. The heating system is fully operational, and staff have full access to temperature controls to adjust heating levels as required. The nature of the programme includes high levels of physical activity (e.g., sensory circuits, trampoline use and movement-based activities), and room temperature is often adjusted in response to children’s activity levels. Following the inspection, heating levels were immediately increased to ensure the room temperature was maintained within the required range. 3 room thermometers have been ordered so we are able to continuously measure room temperature. (d) 2. A full deep clean of the premises took place following inspection. Deep clean have been scheduled for every break, i.e. midterms, easter, Christmas, summer. Alongside our usual cleaning schedules/ Rotas. 3. We are awaiting a quote from a painter and have planned to schedule works for the two-week break over Easter holidays. Painter is coming to quote on the 24th with works due end of March. 4. The area of flooring had an extra layer of lino in T3, which was glued to original floor and acted as a tripping hazard was removed. The glue was removed from the floor, the floor remains discoloured, in comparison to the rest of the floor but is clean and there is no risk of tripping. 5. The sink unit has been replaced. 6. The mirror has been fixed. The registered provider and management will complete a thorough check of the building before every school holiday break, so if anything needs to be repaired it can be done so with minimum disruption to the children. Anything identified with immediate concern will be rectified immediately

  • (c) Heating settings were reviewed and adjusted immediately. Room temperatures were monitored following adjustment to ensure they reached the required range. The matter was addressed with staff on the day of inspection and expectations regarding maintaining appropriate room temperature were clarified. (d) Following inspection findings, the entire service was repainted to restore wall surfaces to an appropriate standard. A full deep clean of flooring and skirting boards was carried out in the Toddler and Baby Rooms to remove any build-up of dirt, dust and debris. The play kitchen in use in the Baby Room was repaired. The worn covering was removed and replaced with a washable surface to ensure effective cleanability.   • (d) The class room is cleaned twice daily and deep cleaned every Monday, Wednesday and Friday -steamed mopped, disinfected, dusted etc. The service will continue to do this but unfortunately it is an old building so for the amount of cleaning that is done it doesn’t reflect. There is a possibility that renovation work will be conducted this summer or in the very near future, which will help greatly. The service will continue daily and deep cleaning and will schedule a meeting with the community group in the new year to discuss all. (e) Maintenance of the entrance toilet will be carried out over the Christmas break. Handwashing has gone back to table by table, ensuring all children wash their hands and the task is carried out smoothly. No supporting documentation was submitted. All broken wood, splinters, and rusted nails were safely disposed of. The gaps and holes in the shock-absorbent surfacing have been filled and repaired, creating a smooth, even surface. The play surface is now checked daily before outdoor time and included in the monthly facility audit. Repairs will be arranged immediately if damage is found
