- In a written response the registered provider stated:
- Second written validated reference received. All staff members will have all required vetting completed prior to having access to preschool children. (d) International police vetting submitted to the inspectorate

- 1. Two references were obtained, verified and submitted. In future, references will be obtained for each employee, unpaid worker and contractor before they begin to work in the service. 2. An employment record has been obtained. 3. The specified requirements and recruitment procedures shall be carried out prior to any person being appointed, assigned or allowed access to or contact with a child attending the preschool service

Provider's corrective action:
- In a written response the registered provider stated: (2) (b) References have now been validated. The recruitment policy has been updated to ensure that all references are validated prior to staff member having access to children. (2) (d) The service has made extensive efforts to access this IPV, however due the current status of the country has failed to access same. The service will continue to make efforts and forward international police vetting once received. The recruitment policy has been updated to ensure international police vetting is provided going forward

(2) (d) International police vetting has been translated. (4) Qualifications are now on file for the two adults. A checklist has been created to ensure these documents are in place

- (a)(b)(d) Validated written references have been obtained and verified. Employment history records have also been reviewed and confirmed, with no requirement identified for International Police Vetting. Going forward, all references will be validated immediately upon receipt from the candidate and prior to any commencement of employment. A management meeting was held to revisit and reinforce our recruitment and reference check policies. All reference checks will be followed up in a timely manner and in accordance with policy

- The service advised in writing that:
- Corrective and Preventive Action The staff member has been requested to provide a reference from a former employer. Each new staff member will be requested to provide two valid references from previous employment. Staff files will be checked annually to avoid any future non-compliance in relation to the documentation required
