- (2)(d) The staff member was engaged on a once off emergency cover basis to maintain ratios and is no longer working in the service. We have reviewed recruitment practices

- (4) One adult employed and working directly with children attending the service did not have documentary evidence of a major award in Early Childhood Care and Education at Level 5 or higher on the National Framework of Qualifications or a qualification deemed equivalent by the Minister. This was a non-compliance following the inspection conducted on 13 June 2022 and 23 January 2025. The corrective action submitted following the inspections failed to prevent recurrence of this non-compliance
Provider's corrective action:
- (4) The second staff member working directly with children is on term 3 of her learning and was on her last week of the 120 hours of work experience at the time of the inspection. The employee will commence working directly with children when she has obtained the full certificate

- Copy of staff qualification on file. To prevent this reoccurring, we will amend our recruitment policy and ensure that any successful applicant has a copy of their certificate before commencement at our service

- 9(2)(a),(b),(c) If using these contractors again I will have the required paperwork in place. A team meeting was held to discuss this issue

- (2)(d) Individual 1 is employed by the service and we have applied for an International Child Protection Certificate for this individual. The receipt for this application is attached. Individual 2 was hired from an external relief staff agency. They have also applied for an International Child Protection Certificate for their employee. They will forward a copy to the service immediately after they receive it. Our recruitment policies have been reviewed to ensure that any individual that has resided outside of Ireland for more tha n 6 months . The e xternal relief staff agency has been asked to ensure staff that they send have a n International Child Protection Certificate or we will not accept them
