- The service was found to be operating an additional room adjacent to the main building that was not included in the current registration. No written notification was submitted to the agency for a change in circumstance for this new space in use
Provider's corrective action:
- The room was immediately put out of use. An application for CIC was looked at. However, having sought advice from DCCC and our insurance company they are both happy that we treat it as an outing. Risk assessments have now been completed and are completed for each visit to the adjacent room

- (1) The service was found to be operating outside of its registered status. 1. On arrival to the service, the inspector was informed the named person in charge is not currently working in the service. The registered provider did not inform Tusla of a change to the person in charge. 2. The service is registered to operate from 09:00 to 17:30. On the day of inspection, the registered provider informed the inspector that the service is open from 08:30 to 17:30 each day. The register provider was informed of the requirement to notify the early years inspectorate of any proposed change before the proposed change would take effect
Provider's corrective action:
- 1 & 2. The registered provider submitted a Change in Circumstances application to Tusla in relation to the service operating hours. Confirmation of approval has been received, and the service registration records have been updated to reflect the approved operating hours. A Regulation 8 Compliance Checklist has been introduced. Where notification or approval is required, the relevant Tusla notification or Change in Circumstances application will be submitted and confirmation retained on file before the change takes effect

- 1. The service is registered with Tusla to operate a full day service between the hours of 7.00hrs to 19.00hrs. However, on the day of inspection, the service was operating the hours of 07.00hrs to 18.30hrs. The registered provider did not notify Tusla of the change in operating hours. 2. The service is currently registered with two registered providers. However, on the day of inspection, the inspectors were informed that a change in the one registered providers had occurred. The registered provider failed to notify Tusla of this change in circumstances
Provider's corrective action:
- 1. The registered provider has stated that a change in circumstances was submitted regarding the change in operating hours. 2. The registered provider has stated that this was reviewed and that a change in circumstances has been submitted to the inspectorate which will address this matter. To prevent these non-compliances from reoccurring, the service will ensure that all correct change of circumstances forms will be completed at the same time as notification to other governing bodies

On the day of inspection, 62 children were present in the service

- A Change of Circumstances form was submitted to Tusla to notify them of revised operating hours and to request an increase in the number of children permitted to attend. Tusla will be notified in advance of any changes that occur

- In a written response the registered provider stated: A change in circumstances application was submitted to change registered operating hours from 9.00am to 14.00 to 8.45am to 1.45pm and this was accepted. Change of circumstances will be completed prior to any further changes
