- (1) The registered provider had failed to submit an application and to be approved for a change of circumstances in relation to the maximum number of children that can be accommodated at any one time. The service was found to be operating outside of its approved registration status which permitted a maximum of 44 children attending at any one time. The attendance records indicated the following. • 29 April 2026 46 children in attendance. • 28 April 2026 46 children in attendance. • 27 April 2026 47 children in attendance. • 20 April 2026 45 children in attendance
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider stated that they will close for the summer and this minor increase in numbers will no longer be in place. In September 2026, 44 children are enrolled in Abbey Montessori. The waiting list is full, and parents have been notified that there is no available place for their children. Summary Comment The actions submitted by the registered provider in their corrective and preventive action plan have addressed the noncompliance. This will be reviewed on the next inspection

- Corrective Action (1) The Early Years Inspectorate was informed on 30/3/26 and Person in Charge has since been changed over. Preventive Action (1) This was a brief oversight but has been rectified and actioned accordingly

The service is registered to accommodate 65 children attending at any one time
Provider's corrective action:
- Corrective Action (1) Registered Provider has been in contact with EY SOORS and have applied for planning permission. Preventive Action (1) Ensure there is the correct number of children on the premises at all times. Summary Comment The inspectors have reviewed the actions and evidence submitted. The service is working with Tusla registration office to address the issues identified on inspection. The noncompliance identified under regulation 8 - Notification of change in circumstances is in the process of being addressed but currently remains outstanding

Provider's corrective action:
- Corrective Action (1) A letter was sent to the CIC team and another team who contacted the registered provider and the situation explained as occurring due to exceptional circumstances. The person in charge had been changed on the HIVE and for the purposes of Pobal and Core Funding, but registered provider forgot to send in the CIC. Preventive Action (1) Registered provider will be more vigilant going forward that if there are ever any changes in any centre that she ensures to execute a procedural compliance check across all paperwork for all sectors of the business and all the regulatory bodies that they are governed by. A meeting was held with all their branch managers to discuss their findings and new methods of practice in this regard

- The registered provider stated the following corrective actions and preventive actions have been undertaken: Corrective Action: Following the inspection, on 24/06/2024, the new manager submitted a notification of the change of circumstance form to the Inspectorate for the change of operating hours. Preventive Action: Any change of circumstance will be notified immediately to the Inspectorate
