- The registered provider did not ensure that visitors to the service were required to sign in. On the morning of the inspection, two visitors attended the service to carry out repairs in the kitchen area and were not asked to sign in
Provider's corrective action:
- Staff have been reminded that all visitors must sign in on arrival and sign out when leaving the service. The visitor sign-in process is managed through the software application and staff have been instructed to ensure this process is followed for all visitors, including contractors and repair personnel

- (1) Although a daily list of the children expected in the service is kept, children attending the service were not checked in or out which poses a risk to the safety of the children in the event of an emergency evacuation
Provider's corrective action:
- We have generated a Check in/Check out Record Sheet for all children attending our service to ensure the safety of all children. These records will be completed on a daily basis

- On arrival to the service, inspectors were granted access without being required to sign into the premises. This practice does not meet the regulatory requirement that access to the service must be restricted until the check‑in register has been completed by the person requesting entry and their identity has been verified by an employee or unpaid worker

- The registered provider submitted no response to address this issue

- (3) (a) (b) There was no record in writing made by staff of the attendance of the Early Years Inspector in the service on the day of inspection. When requested by the Inspector, staff did not know where the visitor record was maintained

- (b) Before leaving the registered provider asked the inspectors to sign out in the visitors' book. The visitor's log is now in the entrance hallway for visitors to sign on arrival
