- (1) (3) At time of inspection, the registered provider had not informed the Agency in writing that the service was operating outside of the service registered hours of operation 08:50 to 13:20 hours. The service current hours of operation are from 08:30 to 13:30 hours each day Monday to Friday
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider has received an acknowledgement of receipt of submission from the Agency therefore the service has formally notified the Agency in writing of the change in the services operating hours. The registered provider has reviewed the requirements for notifying Tusla of changes to the service registration details. She has implemented a procedure to ensure that any future changes to the hours of operation or other notifiable registration changes are submitted to the Agency through the Change in Circumstances process in advance

- (d) See statutory notice section in relation to Improvement Notice IN1903 served. (3) Police vetting for one adult as listed to be required in paragraph (2) was not carried out prior to the adult being appointed, assigned or allowed access to or contact with a child attending the pre-school service
Provider's corrective action:
- The following response was received from the registered provider: Corrective and Preventive Action The police vetting has now been complete. An employment check list is in place to ensure this is completed prior to employment

Skibbereen Community Playgroup CLG, Skibbereen · Regulation 8 — Notification of change in circumstances
- (1) (3) The registered provider had not informed the Agency in writing that the service was operating outside of the service current registration status. On inspection, it was found.: (a) That the named person in charge was not currently working in the service and there was an acting person in charge in her absence. (b) Change in the service registered hours of operation. Registered opening hours are from 08:45 to 13:00 hours. On day of inspection the person in charge stated, the service was operating from 08:30 to 12:30 hours each day Monday to Friday
Provider's corrective action:
- In the corrective and preventative response (CAPA) received from registered provider and manager the following was stated: Corrective and Preventive Action (1)(3) The service has now informed the Agency in writing and the service has received approval from the registration office of the following changes to the service registration details: (a) The registered named person in charge of the service. (b) The service registered hours of operation are from 08:30 to 12:30 hours each day Monday to Friday. The registered provider and manager have read up on all guidance on Tulsa Early Years Inspector Website and are now informed of their obligation to update the Agency in writing prior to any changes to the current service registration details

Fermoy Community Preschool Playgroup, Fermoy · Regulation 8 — Notification of change in circumstances
- Through conversation with the manager, at the introductory meeting, it was found that the details of the registered provider did not match those on the Tusla national register. Not ensuring the correct information had been submitted to the registration department did not allow for accurate service details to be retained and published by Tusla on the National register. It was acknowledged that when informed the manager completed a change in circumstances form which was submitted to the registration department on the day
Provider's corrective action:
- The following statement was received from the manager; (1) A change in circumstance was completed and sent on the day of inspection. All documentation will be checked thoroughly to ensure that the correct details have been recorded correctly

Clonakilty Montessori Pre-School, Clonakilty · Regulation 8 — Notification of change in circumstances
- The service was operating outside of its approved times. On assessment of the services’ records for the 04 June 2024, it was noted that the service was in operation from 8.30am to 1.30pm, whereas the service was sanctioned by the registration office to operate from 9am onwards. The records on file demonstrated that this breach occurred up to 3 times weekly
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider replied to state they would only operate between the hours of 09:00 and 13:30 going forward, and that all staff and children would arrive from 9am onward
