Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- Infection Control: The bin provided for the disposal of nappies was not pedal operated posing a potential infection control risk. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- Infection Control: The twist and click nappy bin was removed and replaced with a pedal bin. All nappies will be bagged in nappy sacks and disposed of in the pedal bin. A separate pedal bin is used for gloves, disposable aprons and other waste. Pedal bins labelled and staff advised how to use correctly
