: (29)(c) A significant risk in relation to the safety of the children was identified in relation to the room temperature which was between 13.5 and 15⁰C on the day of the inspection. The coldest part of the room was beside the open window while the warmest part of the room was beside the wall mounted radiator. An ambient room temperature of 18 - 22⁰C is required in the service
Provider's corrective action:
submitted by the Registered Provider CORRECTIVE ACTION An electrician has been to assess the premises and made recommendations on what is required to maintain the room temperature within the recommended range. The new radiator has been ordered by has not yet been delivered or installed. PREVENTIVE ACTION When the new radiator is installed, we will monitor and adjust the heat output to ensure that the room temperature is maintained between 18 and 22⁰C. Summary Comment When the above actions are completed, the service will meet the requirements of the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016. Until that time, the non-compliance remains outstanding. This will be assessed on the next inspection
