- • There was insufficient space in the dining area for the movement of the 9 children, aged 2 – 3 years old, sitting at the table and the five children in the highchairs aged 12 months to 2 years. The dining room measured 7.471m²
Provider's corrective action:
- The following statement was received from the registered provider; • Only one group now eat in the kitchen with the children in the Toddler care room eating in their care room at lunch times. This ensures that there is adequate space for each child

Mothercare Creche, Loughrea · Regulation 30 — Minimum space requirements
- (1) There was inadequate clear floor space available for the work, play and movement of the children registered in the main care room. The care room measured 47.09 square metres where 56.2 square metres were required for the numbers and ages of the children currently registered in the main care room; • There were 10 children aged 1-2 years registered as full day care requiring 2.8 square metres per child. • There were 12 children registered aged from 2-3 years attending on a full day care basis requiring 2.35 square metres per child
Provider's corrective action:
- The following statement was received from the registered provider; 1. A change of circumstances form was submitted to the registration department and permission granted for an increase of numbers and change of use of the sleep room to a care room to accommodate the excess children in the main care room

- An immediate action notice was issued on the 23/01/25. (3) There were 24 preschool children being cared for in the Seomra Mor playroom. The maximum number of children attending a sessional service is 22 in any one room at any time during the operation of a sessional service
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider stated in the response to the immediate action notice on the 24/01/2025 that: (3) In the future the 2 playrooms in the service will be used and this will ensure that the maximum of 22 sessional children will not be exceeded in Seomra Mor. Corrective and Preventive Action (3) The playrooms going forward will only have a maximum of 22 sessional children
