Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- Infection Control: 1. It was observed during nappy changing, that a staff member did not wash their hands after carrying out nappy changing and a staff member was observed not washing their hands after touching the lid of a foot pedal operated bin. This posed a risk of cross infection to both the children and staff. The inspector reviewed the services policy on infection control which contained nappy changing procedures, and the above practice was not in line with the policy. Provider's corrective action:
- Infection Control: Corrective Action The registered provider stated in their response that following the inspection, a staff meeting was held on 09 July 2025 on handwashing, infection control and nappy changing. Preventive Action All team members have been retrained on Tigers Childcare policies on handwashing, infection control and nappy changing. In addition, management will conduct checks during nappy changing to ensure policy is being followed. Should any areas of improvement be identified during these checks they will be addressed immediately through support and retraining
