(d)There was evidence of mould and water staining around the skylight in the adult bathroom facility. This posed a potential risk to the wellbeing of the staff using the facility

Provider's corrective action:

: The registered provider has stated that: The skylights has been sealed from the outside. The walls below the skylight in the staff bathroom were cleaned and treated for mould and the walls will be painted by the end of the week. The surrounding ceiling panels that were stained have been replaced. Regular checks of the skylights for the year to pre-empt issues arising in the future and to act as reminders to address any issues immediately have been scheduled

(d) The outside lidded waste bins were accessible to the children and parents and were not fenced off from the outside play area and main entrance area. The bins were positioned close to the reception area at the preschool facility. This posed a safety and hygienic risk to children, parents and staff

Provider's corrective action:

(d) The manager for the service stated in the corrective action plan that a gate will be installed to the side of the building to section off an area for the bins and make them inaccessible to parents and children. The bins will be stored in a wheelie bin storage unit. This work will take 2 to 3 weeks to be completed
