- (9)(4) Two staff working directly with the children attending the service did not have awards in early childhood care and education on the national qualifications framework or did not have a qualification deemed to be equivalent
Provider's corrective action:
- The service aims to employ early years qualified staff however this is not always possible as all staff need a teaching council number and require a level 8 qualification for the dept of education. There are currently 3 staff that have a childcare level 8 qualification where there are only 6 children enrolled. The registered provider aims to employ level 8 childcare qualified staff. When an advertisement is placed for new staff, this is a requirement
