(1)(b) There was no up to date record for the fire fighting equipment on the premises. The fire fighting equipment was last serviced in November 2023
Provider's corrective action:
The fire fighting equipment has been serviced. Going forward a note of the service date will be recorded in the fire drill records and the company will be contacted prior to the service date
1. The outdoor area was not sufficiently maintained the following are examples observed; • The sand truck was broken with pieces of wood protruding and the wooden aeroplane had loose panels. • Weeds with thorns were present. • Painting on the outdoor walls was peeling off and on the ground for children to pick up. • Fallen leaves caused the soft surface matting to become slippery
Provider's corrective action:
Corrective Action 1. The hedge and the leaves and weeds have been cleared from the play area. 2. The large pieces of outdoor equipment have been removed and new ones bought. Preventive Action Maintenance checks carried out daily to ensure that the outdoor area is well maintained
