Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- Infection Control: A fan used to circulate cool air in the room was visibly dirty with the accumulation of dust on its surface. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- Infection Control: The fan was cleaned and going forward the fan will be checked daily and cleaned on a weekly basis
Regulation 29 — Premises
- The temperature of the care room was not within the acceptable range of 18-22°C. When checked at 10.45am the temperature was 24°C. Despite measures taken by the staff to reduce the temperature this could not be decreased to an acceptable level and was recorded at 12:05 at 23.8°C
Provider's corrective action:
- An air conditioning unit permanently installed, and temperature of room checked prior to arrival of children and hourly thereafter
