Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- Infection Control: 1. A chemical toilet was observed to be in use by the children in the outdoor area. The use of chemical toilets is not permitted in an early year’s service due to infection control concerns and disinfection purposes. This posed a risk to the children. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- Infection Control: Corrective Action The registered provider stated in their response that the portable toilet has now been taken back by the company that supplied it, therefore, is no longer available in our outdoor area. Preventive Action The registered provider stated that the chemical toilet is not on the premises and the service will not have one going forward
