Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- General Safety: One child attending had a medical condition requiring two injections to be available in the event of an emergency. In the event of this child needing treatment the effectiveness of this child’s treatment could be compromised as the injections available had expired in November 2024. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- General Safety: The mother of the child was contacted and an email received which stated that the child’s allergic status has changed, and injections are no longer required. Further training of the manager has taken place. The expiry dates of all medication will now be checked monthly at the same time as the first aid box is checked
