Provider's corrective action:
  • (e) Following the registered provider and regional co-ordinator of Oifigeach Forbartha Comhar Naíonraí na Gaeltachta being made aware of a notifiable incident that occurred in the service, a meeting was arranged by the regional co-ordinator with the current staff, following this inspection. The co-ordinator and staff reported that they have reviewed the services supervision and safety policies. The policies have been revised, specific to the premise the service now operates from. A recent safety risk assessment was completed on the indoor and outdoor play areas with particular attention to the security of the main entrance door and internal doors within the premise, while the service is in operation. The practices observed on inspection were in line with the revised procedures. This minimised the risk of unauthorised persons gaining access to the premises and reduced the likelihood of a child exiting, while unsupervised. Management addressed with staff the importance of informing the registered provider and regional coordinator of any incident that occurs within the service immediately after the incident happens
