- On entering the Sleep room at 13:27, it was noted by the inspector that nine children were sleeping on floor bed unsupervised. It is acknowledged that a monitor was in place and staff entered the room every 10 minutes to perform sleep checks. This level of supervision is inadequate and posed a risk to children of having access to the room and other children unsupervised

- The following statement was received from the registered provider: Corrective and Preventive Action The services sleep policy is revised and staff have been advised to remain in the sleep room at all times while children are asleep on stackable beds

- The area accessible to the children for outdoor play was large with a number of distinct play areas. On the day of inspection, the registered provider was operating single handed and could not adequately supervise the children by sight or sound as they played. Being unable to supervise all the children by sight or sound posed a risk to their safety

- The policy containing the procedures to be followed in outdoor play was updated. This will be reviewed yearly

- On entering the sleep room at 13:06, it was noted by the inspector that two children aged between 2 and 3 years were sleeping on floor beds unsupervised. It is acknowledged that a monitor was in place and staff entered the room between every 6 to 10 minutes to perform sleep checks. This level of supervision is inadequate and posed a risk to children’s safety and wellbeing

- The following statement was received from the designated person in charge: Corrective and Preventive Action A staff member has been assigned to the room when children are sleeping and this practice will continue
