An adult from an external company, who was present in the office on the inspector’s arrival, had not been checked in to the service by an employee at their time of arrival - Following the inspection, the visitor management procedures were reviewed with all management and staff. The visitor sign-in process was reinforced, and all staff were reminded that any person entering the service who is not a child attending, parent/guardian collecting or dropping off a child, employee or unpaid worker must be approved by a member of staff and recorded in the Visitor Register immediately upon arrival. The Visitor Register was reviewed to ensure that visitor records are completed accurately and consistently. The Person in Charge has completed a review of the Visitor Management Policy with all staff to ensure that visitor approval and recording requirements are clearly understood. Staff have been reminded that no visitor, contractor, maintenance worker, delivery person, external professional or company representative may enter the service without first reporting to a member of staff and signing the Visitor Register. Prominent signage has been installed at the main entrance and reception area advising all visitors that they must report to a member of staff and sign the Visitor Register upon arrival. The Person in Charge will review the Visitor Register daily to ensure that visitor records are complete and accurately reflect all visitors present within the service. Visitor management procedures will form part of staff induction, refresher training and regular staff meetings to ensure continued compliance. Management will complete regular audits of visitor records to monitor compliance and identify any gaps in visitor recording practices 26 November 2025 ##### [Circle of Friends](/creche/circle-of-friends-sallins.md), Sallins · Regulation 24 — Checking in and out and record of attendance - Documentation reviewed during the inspection evidenced that all preschool children were not checked in and out of the service as required. Attendance records in Preschool Room 1 and Preschool Room 3 room were reviewed by the inspector at 13:00. Four children from Preschool Room 1 who had left the premises at 12:00 and two children from Preschool Room 3 who had left the premises at 12:15 had not been checked out. Inaccurate records of attendance may hinder the safe evacuation of children in the event of an emergency. This regulation was non-compliant on the last inspection on 08 March 2023. The corrective and preventive actions as stated by the registered provider did not prevent recurrence of this non-compliance - All staff have been briefed on the immediate requirement to sign each child in on arrival and sign each child out at the exact time of departure. Staff have been reminded that accurate attendance records are essential for child safety and emergency evacuation. The manager will check the roll books daily to ensure attendance records are accurate and fully complete.
