There was no daily record available to record this information - A book is now available for all visitors to sign in and out when entering and leaving the premises. One child in the Baby/Toddler room, and one child in Preschool 1 had not been signed in upon their arrival. It is acknowledged that when the inspector brought this to the attention of both room leaders, the records were updated - A consultation has taken place with all staff members of the importance of signing children into the roll book as soon as they arrive in the Creche. All staff are fully aware of the importance of signing children into the roll book as soon as they arrive into the creche and this will be monitored by the staff team going forward. Summary Comment The response submitted by the registered provider has provided assurance that the non-compliance has been adequately addressed. This will be reviewed upon the next inspection 9 January 2024 ##### [Bailieborough Community Resource House](/creche/bailieborough-community-resource-house-bailieborough.md), Bailieborough · Regulation 24 — Checking in and out and record of attendance - In the Wobbler Room nine children’s attendance (present from 8.30am onwards) were not documented until 11.30am. This posed a risk of the children not being counted under the daily supervision routines or in the event of an evacuation emergency - Corrective Action: Children were signed in on the signing in sheets but with the events of the inspection that morning there was a delay in documenting in the attendance register as inspectors were checking registers. Preventative Action: Manager spoke with staff about the importance of signing in children in the roll book as they arrive to avoid risk of them not being counted under the daily supervision routines or in the event of an evacuation. Summary Comment The response from the registered provider has been accepted. The manager has provided assurance that children’s attendance will be recorded at time of entry to the service to avoid a safety risk to children.
