Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment
- (d) There was no evidence that one staff member, who had lived in a state other than Ireland for a period on longer than 6 months, had police vetting in place. It is acknowledged that the inspector received evidence that the service did apply for police vetting for the staff member shortly after the inspection
Provider's corrective action:
- Police vetting has been applied for the staff member who had lived in a state other than Ireland for a period on longer than 6 months. The registered provider will ensure all required police vetting is in place prior to staff starting work in the service in the future
Regulation 25 — First aid
- There was no staff member working in the service who was trained in a First Aid responder course. It is acknowledged the inspector received confirmation from the registered provider that a staff member would be attending a first aid responder course in March 2025
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider has booked to attend a first aid responder course
