Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment
- (3) Documentation reviewed evidence that the procedures specified above under 9(2)(a)(b) had not been carried out prior to one adult commencing employment in the service
Provider's corrective action:
- The registered provider has stated that the reference is now in place and was received on the day of inspection. The staff member had previously attempted to secure a reference from previous employer
Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- General Safety: 1. In the outdoor area, a shed used by the caretaker was left unlocked. The shed contained paint and tools. It is acknowledged that a member of staff remained in close proximity to the shed when the inspector brought this to the staffs’ attention. This poses a potential risk if harm to a child if they accessed the shed. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- General Safety: The registered provider has stated that a lock has been placed on the shed door and staff will ensure the door is kept locked at all times
