General Safety: 1. There was a piece of raised linoleum at the exit door to the outdoor play area in the Wobbler care room which was raised off the floor and split down the middle, posing a safety hazard for children exiting from the door. Infection Control: 2. There was no hot water available in the right-hand basin of the children’s sanitary area, preventing children from washing their hands effectively. In conversation, the manager stated that the part has been ordered and they were waiting for a plumber to come and fix it. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

Provider's corrective action:

The following statements were received from the registered provider; General Safety: 1. The raised linoleum has been replaced ensuring that it does not cause a safety hazard to the children. Infection Control: 2. We were awaiting a replacement part from Germany which has now been fitted, there is running hot water in the tap

General Safety: Garda vetting was available for 1 adult employed by the service. However, this vetting disclosure was not dated within the previous three years in adherence with the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice.
