Infection Control: 1. Three sofas in the Active cub’s room were observed to be fraying at the corners which prevented adequate cleaning. This posed an infection control risk. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

Provider's corrective action:

Infection Control: 1. The sofas were removed immediately. An order was placed to replace the sofas with a cosy corner. Colleagues were briefed on the importance of monitoring the condition of furniture to include fraying fabric on their daily risk assessment safety checklist under the safety of furniture check. Colleagues were instructed to flag fraying fabric on furniture to their manager so action to replace can be taken immediately
