##### Regulation 16 — Record in relation to pre-school service

- (j) While it was observed that the service maintained detailed records of any medication administered to a child while in the service, the media application on which the records were stored, did not demonstrate where the child’s parent/ guardian’s signed parental consent was recorded. It is acknowledged that the registered provider submitted a revised hard copy of an administration of medication form following inspection, which was immediately implemented in practice to ensure that parents’ signed consents were clearly recorded

- We have reviewed our administration of medication forms and reinstated the hard copy administration of medication forms to ensure that parents’/ guardians’ consent for administration of medications is clearly documented
