Limerick): what Tusla inspections found — 2 published inspection(s), non-compliances and the provider's corrective actions. ## Stepping Stones Pre School Sessional · 2 - 6 Years · Bruree, Limerick · Tusla ID **TU2015LK165** · Registered since 1 January 2026 An inspection records what inspectors saw **on one day**; services respond with corrective actions — [how to read this](/methodology.md). #### Inspection of 4 April 2025 — Inspection Report Full report (PDF, Tusla) ##### Regulation 8 — Notification of change in circumstances - (1) The registered provider did not notify Tusla, Early Years Registration Office in writing that there had been a change in circumstances in relation to the registered provider and the person in charge in the service - : Following submission of Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) 1 and CAPA 2 documents the person in charge submitted a copy of a change of circumstances application dated the 1st of July 2024 and a letter dated the 3rd of June 2025 detailing the required changes ##### Regulation 26 — Fire safety measures - (1)(b) There was no maintenance record to indicate when the smoke alarm system was last serviced. This posed a potential risk to the children and staff in the service - : The person in charge stated in CAPA 1 document that: (1)(b) The smoke alarm was serviced on the 17th of April 2025. Annual testing and review will be carried out by a designated electrical contractor Found compliant: Regulation 9, 11, 15, 19, 23, 24, 25, 28. #### Inspection of 25 September 2023 — Inspection Report Full report (PDF, Tusla) ##### Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child - Fire Safety: 1. The area in route to the emergency fire exit door was used as a storage area for play and work equipment including cleaning equipment. This posed a potential fire safety obstruction. 2. Fire drills were not practised every month. The records indicated that fire drills took place in January and May of 2023. This posed a risk to both the staff and children in the event of a fire emergency. Action submitted by the Registered Provider - Fire Safety: 1. The area in route to the emergency fire exit door is now clear and free from play equipment and materials. Additional storage space area was identified for the play and work equipment including the cleaning equipment. 2. A fire drills was practised in October by the staff and children present in the service. The fire drills will be practised every month ##### Regulation 24 — Checking in and out and record of attendance - A daily record in writing did not include the following: - 1.The name of the employee who’s responsible for checking the children in and out of the service - 2.A record of visitors who enter the premises - 1.A daily record is now maintained of the employee who’s responsible for checking the arrival and departure times of the preschool children - 2.A visitors book is now in place for all persons entering the premises ##### Regulation 26 — Fire safety measures - (1)(b) There was no maintenance record to indicate when the smoke alarm system was serviced. This must be serviced on an annual basis - The service has contact ed a reputable company to service the smoke alarm system and are now waiting for a service date ##### Regulation not named in the report text - (1) The registered provider did not notify Tusla, early years registration office in writing that there had been a change in circumstances in relation to the registered provider and the person in charge in the service - (1)A change of circumstances was submitted to the registration office to register the details of the registered provider and the person in charge. Approval was received for the change in the person in charge.
