##### Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment

- (a)&(b) One staff member required an appropriate second validated reference

- (a&b) One reference was received and validated from a past employer for this adult. Going forward, all staff or students will have two references available before they start

##### Regulation 26 — Fire safety measures

- (b) There was no record of the number, type and maintenance of the firefighting equipment

- The person in charge has set up a system to remind them when the fire certificates need to be renewed

##### Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child

- General Safety: Medication for one child was not stored in its original packaging. The original packaging is required as it details the medication and dosage and specifies how it will be stored and administered by authorised staff. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

- General Safety: Parents of children who require medication for specific reason have been asked to provide original packaging for preschool. All parents of current children and any child starting will be made aware that all medication is required in its original package

##### Regulation 28 — Insurance

- The registered provider had evidence of insurance cover for up to 42 preschool children, however the insurance cover was only valid until 30/09/2025

- The school was delayed in providing the preschool with insurance cover but finally received the certificate. Remind the school about insurance a month before it is due
