#### Inspection of 4 June 2026 — Inspection Report

##### Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child

- General safety: 1. Garda vetting was available for one staff member. However, this vetting disclosure was not dated within the previous three years in adherence to with the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice ‘EYI-RN12.3 Renewal of Garda Vetting’. An application had been made in respect of the adult, however a disclosure had not been received. 2. The children had access to cleaning materials in an unsecured press in the yellow room and the downstairs children’s sanitary facility. This posed a safety risk to the children accessing these areas. Infection control: 3. There was no foot operated bin available in the downstairs children nappy changing facility. This posed a risk of cross contamination to the children. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

- General safety: 1. A garda vetting disclosure had been received. The service will apply for garda vetting in advance of the expiry date to ensure disclosures are received on time. This will be monitored going forward. 2. A new safety lock has been placed on the yellow room press and downstairs children’s sanitary facility. The cleaning materials have been removed and placed in an alternative press which is not accessible by children. Staff have been reminded to ensure presses are secured and cleaning materials are stored appropriately. Infection control: 3. A new foot operated bin was placed next to the changing unit. This bin will remain in this area and monitored going forward

##### Regulation 25 — First aid

- (1) A member of staff with current First Aid Response (FAR) training was not available to the children at all times. On discussion with the person in charge, training dates for this staff member and additional staff to be trained had been organised

- First Aid Response training had been scheduled for staff to attend. A new staff member had been employed who had completed the training. The person in charge stated that a staff member will be sent to attend training annually to ensure a staff member is present with FAR training at all times

##### Regulation 15 — Record of pre-school child

- (h) Of the sample of children registration forms reviewed, four of the children’s registration forms had no immunisation details on file

- In the written response the registered provider/person in charge has stated the following: (h) All children’s registration records have since been checked and the immunisations records are now in place. Going forward all children’s registration records will to be checked to ensure all information including immunisation details are up to date prior to a child commencing in the service
