##### Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment

- (d) Police vetting was not available for the registered provider who had resided outside the state for a period of more than 6 consecutive months as an adult. Evidence was submitted indicating that the registered provider had tried to obtain the required police vetting following the previous inspection

- Corrective Action: The registered provider has tried for several years to obtain police vetting for when working as a Montessori Directress in Denver, Colorado in 1988/89. I have learned that the VISA I was on then (36 years ago) did not require me to have a social security number. Without this evidence police clearance is unobtainable
