##### Regulation 19 — Health, welfare and development of child

- Basic needs: 1. In Room 3, water was not available to the children to take as they desired during the day. Children were provided with water at mealtimes but was not available for them to take spontaneously if they needed at other times during the day

- Baic needs: Corrective Action 1. A jug of water and cups will be readily available for each child throughout the day. Preventive Action 1. Access to drinking water in all playrooms is included in the daily checklist to ensure it is always available. Summary Comment The actions as stated in the corrective and preventative actions addresses the noncompliance identified. The regulatory requirement for regulation 19 - Health, welfare and development of child has been addressed

- (1)(3) The registered provider failed to notify the Early Years Inspectorate of a change in circumstances as required as evidenced in the following: The operational hours of the service are at variance with the registered hours of operation. The service is currently operating from 08:30hrs to 17:30 hrs and is registered to operate from 09:00hrs to 17:30hrs

- Inspection findings are documented in the inspection report which is first issued in draft format to the service with an opportunity to respond to any findings. Where statutory requirements are identified as not being met, the registered provider must demonstrate how they have rectified the non-compliance and will prevent any non - compliance from re occurring. The Corrective Action and Preventive Action plan (CAPA) will be used to inform decisions about compliance with regulatory requirements. Where the registered provider fails to meet the statutory requirements an escalation process may be commenced. The inspectorate reserves the right to edit responses received for reasons including clarity, completeness and compliance with administrative and legal processes. The contents of the report are compiled by the inspectorate body. Acknowledgments The inspector wishes to acknowledge the cooperation of the person in charge, staff and children who were present on the day of the inspection
