Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- Administration of medication: Signed parental consent was not sought for medications, other than anti-pyretic medication, prior to their administration. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- We have complied a new form to capture all the necessary information and consent from the parents before any medication is given. Parents have all been emailed the form and made aware that they need to give themselves an extra five minutes on the morning they are dropping their child if they require medicine. All staff are aware of the new form and are now using it for any medications that have been given
