##### Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment

- (2)(d) International police vetting was not available in respect of one staff member who had lived in a state other than the State for a period of longer than 6 consecutive months. (3) The registered provider did not ensure that the procedures specified in paragraph (2) were carried out in respect of a person being appointed, assigned or allowed access to the early years’ service

- (2)(d) In response to the non-compliance the service has stated that the staff member has applied for police vetting from the relevant authority on the 4 April 2025 and this should be received within 20 working days from when applied for. Going forward all future staff must have this correct additional certificate before commencement, this is now documented in our Garda and International Vetting Policy. (3) In response assistance was given to the staff member in the process of applying for the additional certificate required to be compliant. The registered provider and managerial staff have made themselves aware of the process and requirements and updated our Garda and International Vetting Policy to reflect this. Ensure staff have the correct documentation before commencement
