Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment
- (2)(d) Police vetting was not available for 1 staff member who had resided outside the jurisdiction for a period of more than 6 consecutive months as an adult. (4) One staff member did not have a complete childcare qualification
Provider's corrective action:
- (2)(d) Police vetting has been obtained for this staff member. The registered provider will ensure that police vetting where required is obtained for staff members before they commence employment. (4)This staff member is now working with school aged children until she completes her childcare qualification
Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- General Safety: One staff members garda vetting disclosures was not dated within the previous three years in adherence to with the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice ‘EYI-RN12.3 Renewal of Garda Vetting’
Provider's corrective action:
- Corrective & Preventive Action General Safety: Garda Vetting has been updated. The registered provider will ensure that Garda Vetting is renewed on a 3 yearly basis
