Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child
- General Safety: 1. There were no visibility strips on place on the low-level window glass panels in the Naionra, posing a risk of a child sustaining a collision injury. Infection Control: 2. There were no sheets used on the stackable beds shared that were not for individual use posing a risk of cross infection. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
- General Safety: 1. A strip has been applied to the window in question to assure the safety of the children, to avoid a safety collision. The strip will be replaced straight away should it come off. Infection Control: 2. The service has provided individual sheets and blankets for each child to avoid any cross infection. Going forward the service will ensure there are an adequate number of sheets and blankets for the children attending the service
