#### Inspection of 4 June 2025 — Inspection Report

**Immediate action notice.** An Immediate Action Notice was issued on site on the 04 June 2025 regarding a Garda vetting disclosure which was missing in respect of one adult for whom it was required. A written response was received in the office of the inspectorate on 05 June 2025 to the Immediate Action Notice which was adequate in addressing the issue.

##### Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment

- (c) An Immediate Action Notice was issued on 4 June 2025 in respect of one adult who did not have a Garda vetting disclosure on file, posing a safety risk to the children. (d) No overseas vetting was available for one adult for whom their curriculum vitae indicated it was required

- (c) An adequate response to the Immediate Action Notice (IAN) was received on 5 June 2025. The adult will have no contact with the children until the Garda vetting disclosure has been received. A Garda vetting application was submitted for the adult, and we are awaiting the disclosure. (d) An overseas police vetting application was submitted on 18 June 2025. We are awaiting the disclosure. A new vetting checklist is in use to ensure that that all required vetting is in place prior to any adult being appointed, assigned or allocated access or contact with a child attending the service

##### Regulation 28 — Insurance

- While a general insurance policy was for available for the community centre, with an expiry date of 10 March 2026, the inspector was unable to assess whether the service was adequately insured as the following details were missing from the policy: • Number of children covered in the pre-school service • Type of service covered • Outings if applicable

- • Additional information was sought to address the missing information, and these have been sent on by the insurance company. An annual review of the policy, with a checklist with the relevant requirements for the pre-school, will take place to ensure the information required for the pre-school service is included on the new policy
