##### Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child

- General Safety: 1. Garda vetting was available for the staff members. However, three of these vetting disclosures were not dated within the previous three years and were not in adherence to the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice. Safe Sleep: 2. It was advised during the inspection that two children under two years of age in the baby wobbler room do not sleep in their assigned cots and are slept on baby chairs or on the lap of the staff member. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

- The registered provider submitted a written response on 7th of July to state General safety 1. The garda vetting had been applied for and we had not received the re-vetting back on time. We now have all staff’s Garda Vetting up to date. and we will set a reminder to reapply for Garda Vetting every three years for all staff. Safe Sleep: 2. We spoke with the parents verbally and put a plan in place to get the children sleeping in their own cots. We will ensure all parents are informed of our safe sleep policy when they settle their children into the creche
