##### Regulation 9 — Management and recruitment

- (d) Police vetting was not available in relation to one adult who previously lived outside of the state for a period of more than 6 months as an adult. (3) Documentation reviewed showed that the procedures specified above under Regulation 9(2) (d) had not been carried out prior to the adult commencing employment in the service

- The registered provider submitted a document for the staff member however, the inspector was unable to determine whether it was Police vetting as it had not been translated

##### Regulation 23 — Safeguarding health, safety and welfare of child

- General Safety: 1. Garda vetting was available for one staff member. However, the vetting disclosure was not dated within the previous three years in adherence with the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice ‘EYI-RN12.3 Renewal of Garda Vetting’. Action submitted by the Registered Provider

- General Safety: The registered provider has obtained an updated Garda vetting disclosure for the staff member and will set a reminder in the service diary to highlight when Garda vetting is due for renewal to ensure it is obtained within the required timeline
