No child according to the staff posed a flight risk. The locking of the doors with chain locks may impede the safe and fast evacuation of the children and staff in the event of a fire. The person in charge agreed to follow this up with the fire officer. Action submitted by the Registered Provider
Provider's corrective action:
  • Fire Safety: 1. A buildings engineer was contracted to review the fire requirements of the service, this review has been completed and all chain locks have been removed and further recommendations have been made to ensure the safety of the children in the service. The registered provider has informed the inspectorate that the recommendations of the report are being implemented

Found compliant: Regulation 10, 11, 19, 24, 27, 32.
