There was no documentary evidence available that a system of regular structured team meetings was held with the staff. It is acknowledged that meetings had occurred in March and August 2025 however there was no meeting scheduled since 13 August 2025. 2. There was no evidence that individual staff supervision was completed between the person in charge and each staff member on a regular basis. 3. There was no documentary evidence available that service wide training had been undertaken in the policies and procedures for the service or evidence available that staff members had attended courses relating to professional practice and development to ensure their competencies aligned with the policies, procedures and statements of the service. (b), (c) 4. There was no evidence of service wide staff training undertaken in the Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 and Childcare Act 1991 (Early Years Services) (Amendment) Regulations 2016 - Corrective Action 1. A staff meeting has been scheduled for the 16th of April 2026. 2. Individual Supervision and Support meetings have been commenced and will be completed by the 17/04/2026. 3. Policies will now be discussed monthly at staff meetings. 4. The Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 has been disseminated to all staff. Preventive Action 1. An annual schedule of meetings has been created for all branches of our service. Managers will schedule monthly staff meetings and keep a record of the minutes in a “Training and Meetings” folder. 2. One to one Supervision and Support meetings will now take place every 6-8 weeks and a record confirming completion will be kept in the “Training and Meetings” folder and a copy in the staff member’s file. 3. The relevant policy will be issued to staff prior to the staff meeting and then discussed at the meeting. Staff will sign off on the new signature sheet for policies, kept in the policy book with the relevant policy. 4. The Child Care Act 1991 (Early Years Services) Regulations 2016 and any training requirements, will be discussed at the staff meeting on the 16/04/2026 ##### Regulation 10 — Policies, procedures etc. of pre-school service - The following policies were not available for inspection: • Staff induction • Staff supervision • Supervision of children indoors/outdoors - The following new policies have been started (i) Staff Induction Policy (ii) Staff Supervision (iii) Staff Training. We aim to complete the revised policies by the 01/05/2026. From 01/05/2026 we will be reviewing all policies in line with “A Practical Guide to Developing Policies, Procedures and Statements in Early Years Services Found compliant: Regulation 11, 16, 19, 27. #### Inspection of 19 August 2025 — Inspection Report Full report (PDF, Tusla) No non-compliance recorded in this report. Garda vetting was available for 3 staff members; however, this vetting disclosure was not dated within the previous three years in adherence to with the Early Years Inspectorate Regulatory Notice ‘EYI-RN12.3 Renewal of Garda Vetting’. Action submitted by the Registered Provider General Safety: Corrective Action New Garda Vetting has been obtained all 3 members of staff. Preventive Action All staff members will be vetted annually to ensure they do not run out of date again.
